VOLUNTEERS
Information for ABSC volunteers
A minimum of 8 hours per season of volunteer work for the club entitles a volunteer to a refund of the $100 volunteer deposit paid at registration. (ABSC collects one $100 volunteer deposit per family.) Volunteer jobs requiring more than 8 hours may be shared to make the workload more manageable! Two people from the same family may share one 8-hour job (put in 4 hours each)! Your volunteer work provides invaluable support to the club - hey, we simply couldn't function without it!
Please note the following important changes to our volunteer system:
1. TIMELINE for volunteer WORK and REFUNDS: Work your hours any time within the soccer year (Fall - Spring). Request refunds by July 31, no later, for that soccer year. Click here for details.
2. THREE REGISTERED OFFICIALS per team:
1 head coach
1 Assistant Coach
1 team manager
3. When you request a volunteer job through the ABSC volunteer coordinator, you are signed up for that job ONLY after you receive a confirmation from her. If you do not receive this confirmation and reminder you are not signed up and your name will not appear on the volunteer list for that day. To be fair to those who have signed up and been confirmed, any person showing up to volunteer at an event who is not on the list will most likely be turned away. For this same reason, please do not arrive with additional family members who have not signed up, expecting there to be work for them. Again, we SO appreciate your volunteer support!
