Dear Albany-Berkeley Soccer Club parents,
The ABSC board has just approved a new system which better defines the roles and jobs of our registered team adults.
Starting Fall 2008, the $100 volunteer refund may be requested by a maximum of 3 registered team officials per recreational team:
one head coach
one assistant coach
one team manager
Alternatively, if a team has two head co-coaches, they and the team manager may request the volunteer refund, again totaling three registered officials per team.
To register as a team official, contact:
Division IV registrar Peg Healy absc2register@yahoo.com, or
Division III registrar Karen Steinmeyer ksteinmeyer@alumni.ucsd.edu.
IMPORTANT
The head coach and team manager may ask the other parents on the team to help out with their duties for the smooth running of the team, but these helpful hours do not count toward the $100 volunteer refund.
The ABSC board wishes to thank ALL parents who help in the smooth running of their team and the club. There are many other volunteer jobs throughout the soccer year besides those of the registered team officials.
