First practice

First practices of the season are 1-3 weeks in advance of the first game date, given field availabilities and coach availabilities. For the Fall season, this can be as early as mid August.  For the Spring season, this can be as early as mid March.  Parents, please confirm the exact start date with your coach. How often are practices?

Under-7's and Under-8's typically have one weekday practice per week.  Under-9's and older teams typically have two per week in the Fall season.  Practice time slots are more limited in Spring due to the additional sports user groups that share our fields.  So teams may only have one weekday practice in Spring. 

 

Under-5's and Under-6's do not have a weekday practice. The Under-6's first practice is on the first scheduled game day, before the game. The Under-5's do not have any practice, but participate as a group in a Saturdays-only program led by an instructor starting on Saturday April 5 and ending on Saturday May 10, with Saturday May 17 as a possible make-up date for rain-outs.

Head coaches, if you have not already done so, please contact club manager, Steven Morrison, immediately at abscmanager@yahoo.com, 510-229-0721 with your preferred practice day(s) and time (either 4:00 to 5:30 OR 5:30 to 7:00). Additionally, parents, if your child's team is not yet listed on the practice schedule, you may ask your coach which practice day and time he/she has requested. We usually accommodate these requests of our parent volunteer coaches!!
