game cards

What's a game card?
A manilla 5" x 11" score card on card stock.  Provided to coaches by our registrars.  The coach or team manager fills in player information and hands it to referee before each game.  Only used in age groups where referees are provided:  Under-9 and older.

Game Card usage by season:
Fall - recreational Under-9 to Under-14 teams
Spring - recreational Under-9 to Under-19 PLUS all competitive teams

Filling out a Game Card
Game cards are filled out with player names and jersey numbers before each game by the coach or team manager, given to the referee before the start of the game, and mailed in to the league at this address

ACCYSL

PO Box 1545
El Cerrito CA 94530

by the winning team or the home team in a tie. The registrar provides the coach with a supply of game cards each season.  To save time, a blank 3" x 4" roster template for player names and jersey numbers can be filled out in advance and taped to the game card on game day to save time.  Find a blank template here on Avery Sticker 5168 (click on CYSA Cup Game Card Sticker Template under CYSA General Forms) which works for this purpose with the Game Card.

Spring 2009 Confusion
Confused about when to submit a game card this spring?

Jack Wagoner writes on 4-2-09:
Clarification of recent emails from JLYSL:

I have talked with the JLYSL folks and here is the deal on game cards
for Spring 2009.

(A) When your team plays on  JLYSL field, game cards are NOT required.

(B) When your team plays on a ACCYSL field, game cards with the team roster
(player name and jersey number)  ARE required for the referee verification before the game.
