Subject: Free Monday night Coaching clinics U6-u12 and higher, starting September 15th
Coaches, assistant coaches
There will be free coaching clinics at Gabe East (near the Blue Barn), for
the next 6 Monday nights, starting on September 15th from 7.15-8.15 pm. Just
show up. No registration required. Plan on Sept 15, 22, 29, October 6,13,20.
Robert Sackey (http://mavericksgirlsforghana.com/AboutTheCoaches.html) will
be leading these clinics. He will be working with coaches on a number of
areas, including the following:
1. Ball control and touch
2. Combination play games including 1-2, overlaps, give and go's etc
3. Possession games
4. Midfield to offense link up, including passing to forwards, using wide players for speed/crossing, switching play
5. Art of defense - defense games for individual, 2 players, team defense
6. Restarts - corners, throws, free kicks, kick offs
All coaches in the U6-U12 age groups are welcome to attend. This is a great
opportunity for coaches of all levels and skills to learn from a very
experienced coach.
Requirements: Bring a soccer ball
Also recommended: cleats/trainers, shin guards if you have them, 2 cones,
pen and paper, water
