About Us
The Albany-Berkeley Soccer Club (ABSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for kids ages 4 through 19 of all ability levels to learn and play soccer in the spirit of sportsmanship and fun. The organization has been running soccer programs for over 30 years.
The Albany-Berkeley Soccer Club is one of five clubs within the Alameda-Contra Costa Youth Soccer League (ACCYSL). The other clubs belonging to the league are:
The El Cerrito Futbol Club
The Mersey Soccer Club
The Richmond United Soccer Club
The San Pablo Soccer Club
The TopSoccer program (for kids with disabilities)
The Mavericks Division I program.
Families register with the club or program of their choice, and the league arranges the Saturday matches and tournament schedules so that teams from all the clubs play each other, TopSoccer and Mavericks being separate. This is why we often see a variety of soccer uniforms on the various teams at the Saturday matches.
ABSC has over 1,400 players in the Fall and is the largest club in the league, providing about 45% of the league's players.
